Welcome to planDisney, Cindy!
Thank you for visiting us with your question! It is a pleasure to assist you as you plan another Walt Disney World Resort adventure!
Adding
Park Hopper Option to theme park tickets is a great alternative especially for seasoned travelers like yourself! After thirteen visits to
The Most Magical Place on Earth, you can make the most of your day by visiting your favorite attractions, experiences, and dining locations in more than one park per day.
Guests visiting with Park Hopper Option are required to
make theme park reservations just like all other visitors ages 3 and up. You need to make Disney Park Pass reservations for the first park you plan to visit and enter that first park before hopping to another. Park Hopper is available from 2 PM each day until park closing time, so if you have a reservation for Magic Kingdom Park, for example, you have to enter Magic Kingdom Park first, and at 2 PM you can start park hopping. Please note that you only need a Disney Park Pass reservation for the first park you plan to visit and that the ability to enter another park will be subject to capacity limitations.
planDisney tip: Remember to download the latest version of the
My Disney Experience app to your mobile device to check park hours and the most up-to-date Park Hopper hours during your visit. The app is also very important because Guests are notified in real-time via notifications if Park Hopper Option is unavailable at a theme park.
I hope this information is helpful, Cindy! We have not heard any news on future modifications to Park Hopper Option and we hope it is back to stay, but I still recommend keeping an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for announcements and checking the
Know Before You Go page before your visit for operational updates.
Best magical wishes,
Thiana
