Hi Samantha,
Welcome to planDisney! Adding the
Dining Plan to your Walt Disney World vacation package is a smart move. Not only do the prepaid meals help your vacation feel more inclusive, but if you're traveling with little Mouseketeers from ages 3-9,
they'll eat free on a Dining Plan through 2026. It really is a steal.
Adding a Dining Plan to an existing vacation package is simple. I'd suggest logging into your
My Disney Experience account from a web browser, select My Plans and Tickets, then scroll down to the first day of your plans. Select Change Reservation, then scroll down to Dining Plan and click the Add button.
Keep in mind that Dining Plans can only be added to vacation packages that include a hotel stay and park tickets. If you've purchased these separately, you can either upgrade your existing plans using the steps outlined above or you can
call and speak with a cast member to ask for help.
If you decide to add the Disney Dining Plan to your stay, give some thought to which table service restaurants you'd like to eat at during your stay. Reservations can be booked as early as 60 days prior to your arrival date. At that point you will also be able to book any experiences from the
Enchanting Extras Collection, so give some thought to which of these you might like to book. My youngest son is currently in his Darth Vader super fan era, so I foresee a
Savi's Workshop visit in our future (what Star Wars fan wouldn't want their own custom built lightsaber?!), but there are so many exciting options for you to choose from for your family.
I hope this information is helpful, Samantha. If you need additional help with planning, come on back. We'll see ya real soon!
Your pal,
Sakinah
