Hi! We have just booked our trip for May 2012. My little girl is 3 years old and she will need a stroller, will it be hard to take our stroller on the bus transportation from resorts to the parks or the monorail? Thanks!

    Hi there, Janelle!

There are three primary modes of transportation on the Walt Disney World property: bus, monorail, and boat. Two of those will be very convenient for your stroller, and one will be a smidge more challenging.

Monorails and boats allow passengers to roll strollers (and wheelchairs/ECVs) right on board. There is no need to collapse the stroller to ride.

Buses are a different story. For safety reasons, strollers must be collapsed before boarding. In order to take advantage of the shuttles, I'd suggest having a second grownup with you or, of you are alone, consider using a harness for your little one, freeing up your hands.

Please be aware that trams from parking lot to theme Park will also require your stroller to be collapsed.

If you'd like, drop me a line with your hotel and projected itinerary, and I will do my best to help you create a transportation plan that minimizes the number of times you use the buses.

I hope to hear from you!

    See you later, celebrator,
    -Deborah B.
