    We have booked a trip in late April to Disney World and will be staying at the Wilderness Lodge. How long does it take to get to the Magic Kingdom by boat? And how long does it take to get to Epcot? Can you take the boat to MK and then monorail to Epcot?

    Hi Kristen!

    The ferry boat is my favorite mode of Walt Disney World transportation, even above the monorail!  It's such a relaxing ride at the beginning and end of a packed day at the Magic Kingdom.  The boat ride from the Wilderness Lodge to the Magic Kingdom is less than 10 minutes and drops you off right outside of the security gates.  

    You can certainly take advantage of the Epcot monorail.  You would need to take a ferry boat from the Wilderness Lodge to the Magic Kingdom and then transfer to the monorail, hop off at the Transportation and Ticket Center and then transfer to the Epcot monorail.  It sounds like a lot of transfers, because it is.  The signs are very well marked and it's easy to navigate to where you are heading.  I believe the ride from the Transportation and Ticket Center to Epcot is about 20 minutes and you get a great view of Epcot along the way.
