Hiya Rebecca,
Welcome back to planDisney! Thank you for your question! As someone who considers herself a proud Buckeye, I always love seeing Ohioians pop up on our question list. I always seem to be planning quicker than the people who I invite to Walt Disney World Resort. So I often pre-plan everything and then have to add Guests after my plans are already mostly solidified. So let me give you a quick and easy way to add that 5th Guest to your plans.
To add your new Guest, all you will need is your
Family and Friends list in My Disney Experience. Currently, in your reservation, you will see that every one of your reservations has four names and an unnamed 5th person. You will need to assign your friend to that 5th Guest, and once you do so, all of the plans will appear in her My Disney Experience account. But first, let’s make sure that she is already added to your Family and Friends list.
To add a Guest to your Family and Friends List:
1. Log in to your
My Disney Experience account.
2. Navigate to your Family and Friends List (shown as the icon with three block people).
3. Select the blue plus sign, “Add a Guest.”
4. Go through the on-screen process to add the Guest either through other connected Guests and import from a Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservation or by entering their information manually.
5. She will receive an email notification letting her know she has been added, and once she accepts, she will appear on your Family and Friends list.
Once your friend is added to your Family and Friends list, you can add her to reservations and Theme Park tickets using the
My Disney Experience mobile app. To add your friend to dining or Enchanting Extras plans:
1. Select the three horizontal lines in the bottom right-hand corner.
2. Select “Future Plans” and open up the reservation you want to assign her to.
3. There should be an option to modify or change your reservation.
4. Once you select that, you will see an option to update your party and Guests.
5. Assign the unnamed Guest spot to your Friend, and voila, she will be able to see the reservation in her My Disney Experience account.
To assign Theme Park tickets to your friend, you will also do so in the My Disney Experience mobile app.
1. Click the three horizontal lines in the bottom right-hand corner.
2. Select Tickets and Passes.
3. Find the unassigned Theme Park ticket and select the “Assign Ticket” button.
4. Follow the steps on your mobile device and link the ticket to your Friend.
I hope this was helpful, Rebecca! Don’t forget to secure your
Disney Park Pass Reservations before your trip if you haven’t already done so. If there is anything else we can do to help, please come back and see us.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
