We just booked a trip for Feb 2022 and will be staying at the Polynesian with our 2.5 year old. Which buildings are most convenient for that age group (closer to transportation / restaurants / etc?)

    Aloha, Jessica!

Welcome to planDisney with an excellent question! I am happy to hear that you have just booked a Disney vacation for 2022!

As the mother of two girls, I must say that Disney’s Polynesian Village is one of my family’s favorite Disney Resort hotels! The location near Magic Kingdom Park is absolutely perfect and very convenient for little ones who still require a stroller. You can walk to the park, take a water taxi or hop on the monorail! The monorail will also take you to EPCOT, and bus transportation is available to take you to the other parks. The restaurants at the hotel are great for families, and I cannot recommend ‘Ohana and Kona Café enough.

Last time I stayed with my family at Disney’s Polynesian Village, I requested a room in the Samoa longhouse. The building is perfectly located between the popular Lava Pool and the Oasis Pool, and a very short walk from the Great Ceremonial House where you will find dining, Front Desk, the monorail stop, shops, and more! To put in your request, have your reservation number handy and call Disney Resort Hotel Reservations at (407) 939-1936. Besides requesting to stay in the Samoa longhouse, be sure to ask for a room located on the third floor because they have balconies – this is a great feature if you plan to use the swimming pools. Please note that Cast Members will do their best to accommodate your requests, but they are not guaranteed.

I hope this information is helpful, Jessica! Come back to visit us soon if you have additional questions, we are delighted to help!

    Best Disney wishes,
    Thiana
