    Just booked a trip for Feb not realizing it's the princess 1/2 marathon! How much busier will it be thinking of changing my dates. Also what hotels are affiliated with the Runners? Thank you love this panel!

    Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Michele! 

    While you can anticipate an increase in activity at Walt Disney World® Resort while vacationing during the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend, with a plan in place, you can still enjoy your stay with minimal interruptions. 

    The 5K race on Friday and 10K race on Saturday are early enough and short enough in distance that you will not be affected by these two races. For Sunday's half marathon, you may experience slight delays that morning due to various road closures along Epcot Center Dr. & World Dr., all roads are scheduled to be open and operational again by 9:00am. As far as crowds within the theme parks, they are expected to be at a moderate level as Princess Half Marathon Weekend immediately follows the Presidents Day Holiday. For Sunday, Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park is your best choice if you plan on visiting a park this day.

    As far as host hotels during this enchanted weekend, all resorts will be accommodating runners, so they will be pretty spread out amongst all the resorts. I would love to know where you were planning on staying, Michele. This way, I could help you create a more specific plan that would allow you to enjoy your vacation even during this moderately busy weekend.
