Hi Elena,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am delighted that you selected the
Disney Dining Plan. This plan has worked well for my family.
When you arrive to each table-service restaurant, the cast member who serves you will explain which items you may order from the menu for the dining plan. Typically, we have been able to order any entrée. Although I do not know which restaurant you are planning to dine at with a $49 entrée, I will advise that some restaurants are
signature restaurants and require two table-service entitlements per person 3-years old and over on the dining plan. To check the number of meal entitlements required, go to the restaurant's website and click on the link that says "Your Dining Plan Accepted." To view a restaurant's menu, from the restaurant's home page, click on "View Menu." If you take a look at the
Le Cellier Steakhouse dinner menu (a signature dining experience), you will see the range of prices for entrées.
In checking the menu prices, you can figure out how to get the most out of your dining plan! We always sit down before our trip and go through the menus of table-service restaurants where we plan to dine. Everyone picks out her or his preferred entrées at each restaurant and I estimate how much it would cost us to dine without the dining plan. I then compare that cost to the cost of the dining plan to be sure that the dining plan is a good value. For us, the drinks, desserts and snacks that are included along with the resort refillable mugs make it a better value.
Elena, be sure to make advanced dining reservations!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
