Hi there, I have just booked a trip for the end of Jan 2024 to the 1st week of February, and I wondered how far in advance you would need to book dinners/shows, and when (how far in advance) are the schedules released for the shows/parades?

    Hi Kara,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for asking us a great question. I can’t think of a better way to usher in the year 2024 than by starting it off right with a visit to Walt Disney World Resort!

For the moment, most Disney Dining and other events can be booked up to 60 days in advance. If you’re planning to stay in a Disney Resorts Collection hotel (“on property”), then you’ll be happy to know that you can book up to 10 days worth of reservations as of the 60-day mark.

Although the official release of Park Hours and Entertainment Schedules can vary, I typically find that they’re released about 6-8 weeks in advance. What I would do in your case is make a very loose plan for each of your days. As you get closer to your booking window, start to look at the Park Hours schedule to see whether your plans need to be tweaked.

And don’t forget to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog to make sure you get up-to-the-minute information about the latest happenings at Walt Disney World Resort. For example, if the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts returns in 2024, you’ll find it announced there first, along with more information about the festival’s entertainment and culinary events.

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other planning questions. We’re here to help make your Disney Dreams a reality!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
