    We booked our trip to DW after the 90 days in advance reservation for dining had started. It seems like I can't get any reservations at fun character dining within the parks. Any tips on how I can still get my little family of 6 into the character dining?

    Holly:

    The name of the game is perseverance!  On my trip in March, I was able to land a reservation at Chef Mickey's AND one at Akershus with just two days to spare!

    But three tips that might help:
    1. I can speak from experience as a fellow mom with a family of six, the buffet restaurants are actually easier to land for larger parties than the table-service restaurants, like Garden Grill.
    2. It's not optimal, but consider splitting up the family into two groups of three or two and four with seating times near each other.  Once you get to the podium, see if they can put you all back together (may take a few minutes longer, but I've found that Disney will do their best).
    3. Keep Disney's dining reservation number (407-939-3463) in your cell phone and call whenever you think about it.  Unlike room reservations that are best called for in the morning, restaurant reservations come available throughout the day.  You never know when someone will cancel their trip and their restaurant seating come available.
