Booked a trip down in late September 2022 at the beautiful Animal Kingdom Lodge. Wondering if and when Minnie Van service will resume at WDW?

    Jambo Brian!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is stunning! I love everything about this resort. It may seem impossible, but it's relaxing and adventurous at the same time. The lobby is beautiful, the views overlooking the savanna are amazing, and the food options are incredible. Jiko - The Cooking Place, Boma - Flavors of Africa, and Sanaa in nearby Kidani Village are three of my favorite restaurants in all of Walt Disney World!

You may already love this resort for the same reasons. In my mind, and maybe in yours, the only thing that keeps me from staying at this resort over and over is transportation. You are quite a distance from every park (even the entrance to Disney's Animal Kingdom), and you have to rely on buses to get everywhere. While Disney bus transportation is great, it can be time consuming, and crowded.

I can't wait for Minnie Van Service to resume. It's so convenient, especially if you have an early dining reservation before the parks open, or if you want to try out a fantastic restaurant at another Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. We all know it's coming, but there still hasn't been an official announcement as to when we'll see these polka dot vehicles back on the road. I'm sending some virtual pixie dust and crossing my fingers in hopes they'll be available to add to the magic of your visit this fall.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
