Hi Allie,
Greetings from a fellow Hoosier! I'm so excited for your visit to the most magical place on earth this September! You're going to have a blast!
You'll find that
park hours are released 180 days in advance, so you'll be able to see your date in just a
few more days. As you've noticed already, Magic Kingdom Park will be closing earlier on select days due to a special evening event at the park. We can't know for sure yet, but
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is a separately ticketed event that occurs on select nights every fall, so early closures may be due to that. Last year, dates for this amazing event were announced on April 6th. If you're interested in attending a night of spooktacular fun during your September vacation, I'd keep your eyes on the Disney Parks Blog for updates.
Did you know that there's something else magical about that 180-day point beyond the park hours being released? That's also the day that you're able to make
advanced dining reservations for your vacation! I'd encourage you to select some amazing dining experiences to enjoy. For your Magic Kingdom Park day, you'll find lots of great restaurants inside that theme park alone - everything from a majestic meal with Disney Princesses at Cinderella's Royal Table to a classic American feast at Liberty Tree Tavern as well as
lots of other delicious and fun choices in between. If you're staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you have the added benefit of being able to make dining reservations for the entire length of your stay, up to 10 days.
Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Allie, and have a truly magical vacation!
Missy
