I’ve booked my trip to Disney World for the fall, I booked a package. I haven’t received anything in the mail in regards to a welcome package, or similar. I thought I would especially with the 50th Anniversary. Does Disney send guests anything these days?

    Hi, Cherish! Welcome to planDisney,

I'm so glad to hear that you booked a Walt Disney World Resort visit this fall! I bet you’re so excited, especially since you’ll get to enjoy all that The Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration has to offer! One of the most spectacular highlights of the celebration is the new nighttime fireworks spectacular, Disney Enchantment. You'll watch in awe as both Cinderella Castle and Main Street, U.S.A. come alive with color, light and music. I can say from experience, the show will absolutely blow you away!

Unfortunately, Walt Disney World does not currently send welcome packets with printed brochures, maps, and planning guides via mail. But, worry not, Cherish! There are some awesome resources available online to help kick off the planning party and get you pumped up for your vacation! First, I recommend spending some time exploring the Walt Disney World Resort website. This is really where you will find the most information on your Disney Resorts Collection hotels, the incredible dining locations you’ll get to enjoy, thrilling attractions, and so much more! One part of the website that I find particularly helpful is the "Know Before You Go" page. If you scroll down to the "Your Guide to Updated Experiences" section on this page, you'll find some quick links to important details to keep in mind as you plan your visit, like the latest information on Disney's Park Pass System.

Speaking of Park Pass Reservations, I want to take a quick moment to remind you that a reservation is required to enter the first park you plan to visit each day. If you have added the park hopper option to your ticket, you will be able to hop over to any other theme park after 2 p.m. each afternoon. I took a look at the theme park reservation availability calendar for you for the dates around your visit, and as of right now, it does look like all four parks are available during your vacation. However, some parks do get booked up, so I recommend making your Park Pass Reservations as early as possible. I would hate for you not to be able to visit all the parks on your bucket list!

Another great resource as you continue to plan your vacation is Disney Parks Blog, where you’ll find announcements about new offerings at Walt Disney World and so much more. It’s definitely my go-to place for the latest and greatest information before I head out for a visit! But of course, don’t forget that your friends here at planDisney would love to help as you continue prepping for your vacation. So, just think of us as your personal Fairy Godparents here to help you along the way and sprinkle a little pixie dust to help make sure your Walt Disney World Vacation is as magical as can be.

I hope you and your family have a magical time on your vacation. We just love answering questions for fabulous fellow Guests like you, so feel free to visit us again if you have any other questions.

    Until next time
