Hey there Micah and welcome to planDisney!
Woohoo is definitely right! Your visit to the
Walt Disney World Resort is only a little over a week away and the magic is about to begin. I'm sorry your dad couldn't be there to join in the fun but you can still have a great time with your mom. Don't tell the rest of y family but going with just my mom and me has actually been my favorite trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth.
My favorite part about Walt Disney World that keeps me coming back is the next-level customer service. They truly do their best to accommodate each Guests individual needs. Call 407-939-1936 for
Disney Hotel Reservations with the reservation info for both you and your mom in hand. A Cast Member will be more than happy to assist you. If all else fails, stop in at the Front Desk of your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel upon arrival and explain your situation. As long as there's availability, the Cast Members there will do their best to make some magic happen for your family.
Now there are 2 things you have to know before you go:
1.
The Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade has officially returned to Magic Kingdom Park. It's even rolling twice a day now! Check those showtimes in your
My Disney Experience app by changing the settings in the drop-down menu over the maps to Entertainment. And for a little pro-tip: find your parade viewing spot in Frontierland. The parade starts there and the crowds tend to be a bit less thick than the ones on Main Street U.S.A.
2.
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is spreading its petals over at EPCOT right now. EPCOT in full bloom with its
beautiful flower beds, lush gardens, and stunning topiaries is always a sight to see. And the
Outdoor Kitchens ain't half bad either!
Micah, I know it's kind of a bummer that your dad can't come on the trip anymore. But cherish the extra time with your mother. This time with you is going to be so special to her. You're still her baby after all.
Safe travels!
Taylor
