Hi Karryn!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! My heart is bursting with happiness for your upcoming celebratory trip to Walt Disney World Resort! I became emotional while reading your question. I have a son who continues to battle serious medical challenges of his own, so I understand the importance of celebrating any huge (and not-so-huge) medical milestone! I can't think of a better way to celebrate your daughter's year of chemo-free life than with a visit to Walt Disney World Resort!
If you're staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, I recommend surprising your daughter by visiting
Disney Floral & Gifts and having your room "magically" decorated! There is one celebration package called
My Magical Triumph that caught my eye as possibly being perfect for your daughter's triumphant year! This package can be personalized, too!
Another thing I hope you'll consider is picking up an "I'm Celebrating" pin. These pins are typically available at Guest Services but if you're staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, I recommend asking for one while checking in! The Cast Member will ask what your daughter is celebrating and write it on the pin. If she proudly wears it around the parks, Cast Members (and fellow Guests) will often go out of their way to give her a high-five or congratulations on her incredible year!
Karryn, thank you for writing us this important question. I'm sending pixie dust your daughter's way for many more chemo-free years ahead! Hopefully, we'll see future questions from you celebrating her 5th, 10th, 20th and 50th year off chemo!
