Booked a trip Disney for Jul 1 thru 7 and we are staying at the Disney Wilderness Lodge. Its our first visit and we would like 8 and 10 yr old girls to have a geat time but are concerned about the heat. Do they have plenty of rest areas with shade.

    Hi Jesse,

There is no better Disney resort for the summer months than Disney's Wilderness Lodge!  Even when the temperatures soar outside, there are dozens of calm, cool places to retreat inside and around the resort.  The dark, rustic ambiance of the majestic lobby lends itself to cool, restful breaks at any time of day.  THe chairs in the lobby are oh-so-comfortable, too.  Although many of the lounge chairs surrounding Silver Creek Springs Pool are in the full sun, there is a row of shaded outdoor tables just behind the lounge chairs.  If I ever need to retreat from the sun while at the pool, that's where I go.  Even the bus stop at this deluxe Disney resort is shaded, so, yes indeed, there are plenty of rest areas with shade at Disney's Wilderness Lodge.

If you have any additional questions about Disney's Wilderness Lodge, please post them for me.  I LOVE to answer questions about this resort!

Sending extra pixie dust your way for a magical vacation in July!
