    We booked a trip for 2020 w/ 5 day park tickets. If we do upgrade to annual passes it will be on the trip we already booked. I know that would give us merch discounts on the currently booked trip but would we also get the free photo pass w/the AP upgrade?

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm so excited to hear you are considering joining the Annual Passholder family! I have had a Walt Disney World Annual Pass for the past several years. I love the convenience of knowing my park admission is taken care of when planning my next visit. The great discounts and extras are a wonderful bonus. 

    I have great news for you. You will receive the Disney PhotoPass benefit as soon as you upgrade to an Annual Pass. I highly encourage you to upgrade as soon as you can so you can begin capturing memories. My one note of caution is to download your photos soon after your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Disney PhotoPass photos taken while you have a valid Annual Pass will not expire for 365 days versus the 45-day expiration. With a longer expiration window, it's easy to put off downloading your photos. I have almost lost photos with precious memories because I put off downloading too long. 

    I also highly encourage you to keep an eye on the Passholder Program. It's the best way to stay informed about all of the discounts, extras, and limited-time experiences available for Annual Passholders.
