Hi, we have booked our trip through Costco Travel. When we booked our hotel, it didn't give us any options for room request or celebrations. Am I going to be able to do that and when? Costco also doesn't release our tickets until 4 days prior.

Happiest Greetings on Earth, Susan! I'm so honored that you've chosen planDisney to help you answer your vacation planning questions.

It sounds like you might be celebrating something special with a visit to Disneyland Resort! How exciting! I have a few recommendations for you to consider in advance of your visit, knowing that you've booked a travel package through a third-party vendor.

First, you may be interested in the In-Room Celebrations available at Disneyland Resort hotels through Disney Floral and Gifts. You can book these anytime prior to your arrival, but I do recommend giving them a few days to ensure availability for your preferred delivery date. You can contact the Dream Makers by phone, seven days a week!

In terms of making a room location or other special request, my recommendation is to call the hotel property directly 10 days in advance of your arrival, as that is when Cast Members will be able to view and place notes on your reservation. In fact, I just did this process for a recent large group visit so that I could link to separate hotel reservations together and request our room locations near one another. These are of course only requests, and cannot be guaranteed, but I've always had great luck and kind service from the Cast Members. Alternatively, you may call the Walt Disney Travel Company using the Vacation Packages line to see if they can assist you prior to the 10-day window in advance of your arrival. I always recommend you have the email confirmation or reservation number on hand prior to calling either contact number.

Susan, a couple of last thoughts for you. If you haven't already considered a table service dining reservation, you should know that select dining locations offer special celebration items such as a Mickey Celebration Cake. You can reserve these ahead of time during the dining reservation process, which can be completed up to 60 days in advance. I also highly recommend grabbing a complimentary celebration button at any of the Disneyland Resort hotels or a Guest Relations location throughout the theme parks. They are a fun way to announce your happy celebration to Cast Members and Guests, and you almost always receive their well wishes in return. Plus, you never know what pixie dust might be unlocked with these special buttons!

I hope this has been some helpful advice, Susan, and more than anything I hope you have the most magical visit to Disneyland Resort with your loved ones. I'd love to have you send any other questions that might come up in the meanwhile, so don't hesitate to come back to planDisney at any point!

    Wishing you magic, always,
    Tishra
