Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Randi!
Traveling to Disney with kids is certainly a whole new "world". I've been traveling with my kids since they were born & I'm excited to offer you some tips & recommendations.
* Go early when they are at their freshest.
* Take breaks - they'll need time to be free of standing in lines. Each of the parks has areas that you can do this. Tom Sawyer Island in the Magic Kingdom is an awesome place to play.
* Try to stick to their schedules for meals & keep them fed. There are lots of healthy options in the parks. Bring your own snacks & drinks to save money & time waiting in line for them.
* Don't plan out every minute. Go at their pace. Let them explore & lead the way. I usually only make 1 dining reservation per day & play the rest of the day by ear.
* Make sure they have some down time away from the parks. Depending on how long you're staying, plan a day (or 1/2 a day) to relax by the pool. Resorts also have playgrounds.
* Bring something to keep them entertained in line or play games with them while you're waiting.
* If you're in the parks & you see they have had enough, leave. You may not get to do everything, but you'll enjoy everything you do.
* Take tons of pictures but don't forget to get in them too. PhotoPass Photographers, Cast Members & even other guests will be happy to help.
* Here are some
stroller tips.
I'm out of room for this answer but happy to give you tips specific to attractions if you'd like to come back & tell me which parks you plan to visit. Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison
