Welcome back to planDisney, Amanda. Thank you for sailing by with your question before you sail away on your Disney Cruise Line vacation.
Since you will be staying at one of the
Walt Disney World Resorts Collection hotels prior to your sailing, you will receive an email the day before your departure with details about the
ground transfer pick-up time. Guests are typically picked up between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., but this depends on the number of Guests that need to be picked up. Your luggage will be picked up earlier that morning outside your resort door, and that time will also be listed in the email. Make sure not to pack your
citizenship documentation and any other important items like prescription medication in your luggage because you will not see it again until it magically appears at your stateroom door on the
Disney Wish later that day.
Before debarkation morning, you will receive luggage tags with a Disney character on them and information about transportation back to Orlando International Airport. You will leave your luggage outside your room between 8:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. the night before debarkation to be taken to the cruise terminal. Again, make sure to keep your citizenship documentation and other important items with you. After the ship receives the "All Clear" from local port authorities, listen out for the name of the Disney character on your luggage tag to be able to leave the ship. Once you gather all of your luggage in the cruise terminal and walk through Customs, you can proceed directly or your designated motorcoach. If you have not purchased your return airfare yet, Disney Cruise Line suggests that you do not book a flight before 11:15 a.m.
Amanda, if you have any other questions, come back to visit
planDisney.
Adventure is out there!
