Hi!! Booked 2/2/13-2/7/13. This is our 1st time at WDW and I am wanting to know what's the best souvenirs to bring home. I really dont want to bring home a bunch of stuff. 30 days and counting!!!

    Hi Liz!

Well, that's a fun question!  I'm sure you'd get thirty different answers if you asked thirty different panelists but I'll be happy to give you my take on the question.

Personally, I prefer to bring home souvenirs that I can incorporate into my everyday life after the vacation.  For instance, I have a particular affinity for the ankle socks they sell throughout the parks.  The have subtle little Mickeys and Minnies on them so they're not loud or garish.  They are well made, however, and make me happy when I slip them on during laid-back weekends.  I also like classic Disney sweatshirts to warm me up on cold New Jersey days.  Disney resort-themed beach towels always make me smile.  They remind me of specific trips we've taken to Walt Disney World.  Beautiful frames for the perfect vacation photo are excellent souvenirs too.  If you're a fan of purses or jewelry, check out the gorgeous merchandise available at Uptown Jewelers on Main Street U.S.A. in the Magic Kingdom.  My dear friend and fellow panelist, Marisol, and I love to shop there.  (Our husbands are less thrilled to see us disappear into that delightful store).  Finally, I find that the travel mugs provided to guests utilizing the Disney Dining Plan are durable, enchanting souvenirs that start my work days off on the right foot.  Any of these options would be fabulous souvenirs to bring back from your upcoming trip.

The Disney parks and resorts are just full of wonderful souvenirs to help you remember your first visit to Walt Disney World.  What I think you'll find, however, is that the memories you'll make as a family will be the very best souvenirs you'll bring home with you.

Best wishes for a vacation sprinkled with extra pixie dust!
