    Hi, we booked our tickets and our theme park reservations and that all shows up in my app.. but now that I try adding the Genie+ option it says I can't do that till the day of my park visit. My understanding was that you could do this ahead of time?

    I'm so glad that you stopped by with your first question for our team of panelists - welcome to planDisney! I'm so excited to hear that you have an upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation - there are so many new and exciting things to explore as part of the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration. Get ready to make magical memories!

    Currently, Guests are able to add the Disney Genie+ Service as part of their purchase of a multi-day Theme Park Ticket or can purchase it on the day they would like to use it. That means that for the time being, if you did not purchase Genie+ when you purchased your tickets, you'll be adding it on to any day you plan to visit a Theme Park and would like to use Genie+.

    The good news is that this is a really simple process, and if you're a night owl, you can even complete it just after Midnight before heading to bed! Simply navigate to My Day in the My Disney Experience Mobile App, and look for the purple bar that says Get Disney Genie+ for Today. From there, you'll be able to select the Guests in your party that you would like to purchase Genie+ for, and voila, you'll be all set to make your first Lightning Lane selection at 7 a.m.! Just make sure that everyone in your crew is connected to your Family & Friends list. If someone isn't, they will need to purchase Genie+ on their own.

    I do want to take a moment and let you know that you aren't at a disadvantage of any kind by not pre-purchasing Genie+. While it may be more convenient to already have it added to your multi-day tickets, some Guests only want to use it for some but not all days, or only for some members of their group. Long story short, adding it on the day you'll be using it is how most Guests purchase Genie+!
