I’ve booked our tickets and reserved the park days. I see the booking in MyDisneyExperience, but what do present at the gate? I don’t see a QR Code or anything to scan. Thanks!

    Hi Victoria,

How exciting, your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is almost here! This is a great question, and a very important one – I'm happy to help you understand this final piece of the puzzle to make theme park entry smooth upon your arrival.

First, a little theme park lingo to know as we go through this together. My Disney Experience is your personal digital hub, holding all your “vacation entitlements” that you see within the website and mobile app after logging in. Vacation entitlements include your theme park tickets, theme park reservations, Memory Maker, and resort information if staying at a Walt Disney World Resorts Collection Hotel. Now we need to connect those digital assets to our physical, real-world experience through “admission media.” This is what you will present at the theme park entry gate to access your digital theme park tickets and park reservation, and then present throughout the day to connect all your photos to your My Disney Experience account.

There are several options for your admission media – a Disney band, a physical key card (“Key to the World” card), or a Disney MagicMobile Pass. All of these can be scanned for theme park entry and many other uses throughout your stay. You may choose one option for each member of your family based on cost, preference, and ease of use.

Since you reside in Canada, Disney bands can be customized and waiting for you at your Disney Resort Hotel or shipped to an offsite hotel. You may also purchase one upon arrival at the many gift shops on property. These bands are an additional cost but have become a classic souvenir as part of the Walt Disney World vacation experience for many Guests.

Key to the World cards resemble a plastic hotel key and are complimentary. You may request one at the front desk of your Disney Resort Hotel or at Guest Relations before attempting entry to a theme park. Guest Relations is located at the entrance to each theme park and at Disney Springs.

A final option is to set up a complimentary Disney MagicMobile Pass which magically turns your phone or smartwatch into admission media! To enable Disney MagicMobile:

    • Log into your My Disney Experience app on a mobile device (you can do this from home before arrival, if desired)
    • Select the Disney MagicMobile tile from the main menu
    • Follow the instructions to select from several pass styles and add it to your digital wallet
    • You can create a digital pass for each member of your party or link their passes to your device

Once you have one form of admission media, it’s seamless to enter a theme park and access everything you need for a wonderful day! Disney bands and Disney MagicMobile Passes can also be used to charge purchases to your room folio (if staying on site) or automatically link attraction photos to your My Disney Experience account.

I hope this helps clarify what to do next as you finalize your vacation plans, Victoria. Please let us know if you have any other questions, we’re at your service!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Amy
