Abhishek from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I have booked tickets and made reservations for the 13th and 14th of November. due to some medical issues in the family, I am unable to visit. I want to cancel the reservation and want to know maximum date by which my tickets are valid!

Hi there, Abhishek! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney with your question. I'm so sorry to hear you will have to put a pause on the magic. Let's jump right into finding you an answer!

If you have unused, single-day or multi-day theme park tickets, Hakuna Matata! While it is requested that you cancel reservations by 11:59 p.m. PST the evening before to allow other Guests to use them, there is no penalty if you are unable to make this change. Currently, the only time a penalty is incurred is if you are holding a Magic Key annual pass. To cancel, all you need to do is head into your Disneyland Mobile App and tap the three-bar menu in the bottom right-hand corner. Select "Future Plans", scroll, and tap into to the date you'd like to cancel. On the next page, find the date again and select "Cancel Reservation". You should be all set! When you're ready to make a new reservation just head to the "+" in the bottom navigation bar in the app and select "Make a Park Reservation".

The good news about theme park tickets to the Disneyland Resort is that there is quite a long window before they expire. Your expiration date will depend on when your tickets were purchased, but we can easily find this date by looking in the app or pulling up your original ticket purchase confirmation email. If you head back into the app and tap that three-bar menu again, this time select "Tickets and Passes". Once you are looking at your ticket, you should see the expiration date right under the barcode. If you have any specific questions about your tickets, you're more than welcome to give the Guest Services team a call to speak with a Cast Member directly. Even if you discover that you are unable to use your tickets before that expiration, you can always put the value of the ticket towards the purchase of a new ticket. The magic never fully runs out!
