Hi Sinead! Welcome to planDisney.
Gawrsh! I am so sorry to read a member of the family is not well. There is nothing magical when our loved ones are hurting. I am sending virtual Pixie Dust for better health and Wishing Upon a Star for better news soon, so you can visit
Walt Disney World Resort in time for
The World's Most Magical Celebration.
While Walt Disney World Theme Park Tickets and vacation packages are
nontransferable and nonrefundable, you do have options. First, you can always change the start date of your theme park ticket up to midnight eastern time the day before your scheduled
Disney Park Pass Reservation. To do this open the
My Disney Experience Mobile App, click on the three horizontal lines in the bottom right-hand corner and select "Tickets and Passes." Tap on the ticket you would like to alter and follow the prompts to "Change Ticket." If your new date selected has a change in cost, submit payment. Here is the
availability calendar if this is of interest to you. Also, the value of any unused expired ticket may be used towards the purchase of a new ticket at a later date.
Next, you can also
reassign any unused theme park ticket to another person. If someone else in your family has not purchased a ticket this may work out well. To do this, log into your My Disney Experience account and select "My Reservations." Find the ticket and select "Reassign Ticket." You will be able to choose anyone linked in your "Family & Friends List."
If you need any further assistance in this matter, I suggest reaching out to the
Existing Tickets Help Center to speak to a friendly Cast Member. Phone lines have been rather busy, I suggest calling early or late in the day. Alternatively, try using the chat feature online or through the app.
Thanks for stopping by
planDisney with your question. We are always here to help. I am sending magical vibes to better days.
Keeping it Magical,
Cindy
