Hiya, Rachel.
I'm so glad you stopped by planDisney today and am excited to hEAR you'll be visiting
Walt Disney World Resort next yEAR! You've come to the right place to get all the best tips and advice for planning your dream vacation.
I have some wonderful news for you, Rachel. You can absolutely link your husband’s MagicBand in your
My Disney Experience mobile app, and it will not affect reservations or tickets if you do so. To link a MagicBand, click the three horizontal lines in the bottom right corner and select "My Profile." Select "MagicBands & Cards" from the list of options, then choose the blue box that says "Link a MagicBand or Card." You can either scan the ID number from the back of the MagicBand or manually enter it on the screen. Once you click “Submit,” you will be able to choose which individual to assign it to from your
Family & Friends list. Since you mentioned your husband is already on your Family & Friends list, just make sure you choose his name from your list when you are linking his MagicBand specifically.
Even though you can link your husband’s MagicBand for him, it never hurts to have two devices that have the My Disney Experience mobile app downloaded on them during your vacation, especially when making
Disney Genie+ service Lightning Lane selections. There have been times before where my app was not working correctly but my husband’s was, so it was a lifesaver to have the app on his phone too.
If you haven't heard the news, the
newer generation of MagicBand, MagicBand+, launches on July 27th. If you decide to wait and get these new devices, make sure you follow the
specific steps for linking a MagicBand+ to your account.
Thanks again for stopping by today, Rachel. Please stop by again soon. We are happy to answer any more questions that pop up as you plan out all the magical details of your vacation.
TTFN (ta-ta for now),
Alyssa
