Welcome to planDisney, Patricia!
Thanks for stopping by with a question about
Walt Disney World theme park tickets, I’m happy to help a fellow Canuck! I’m sorry to hear you’re considering cancelling your visit but not to worry, the magic will still be there when the timing is right. Let’s take a look at what to do for tickets that will expire.
It sounds like you purchased the
Canadian Resident tickets, which are date-based. If you're switching to new dates with higher ticket prices than your original ones, you'll need to pay the difference in cost. If you're unsure of your new dates, you can let the tickets expire and use their value later. (You can check the expiration date in the
My Disney Experience app.) While tickets are non-refundable, the value you paid will remain on your account and can be applied toward future tickets.
I spoke with a Cast Member in Ticketing, who explained that typically, expired tickets are exchanged for new ones, with any price difference applied when you select new dates. If you'd like to use fewer than your 4 tickets, you can chat with a Cast Member. They’ll review your request and let you know what options are available.
When you have a better idea of when you’d like to visit Disney World, I recommend phoning the
Exciting Tickets number and a Cast Member will be happy to assist.
I hope this information is helpful, Patricia. If you have any other questions, please stop by planDisney again!
Cheers,
Candace
