Hello Tom, and thank you for bringing your question to
planDisney!
It’s great to see you, but I’m so sorry for the reason you’re here. That's devastating to hear that your husband’s cancer hasn’t improved… this must be a very difficult and scary time for you and your family. I am thankful, though, that the rest of your family is able to take time to create some Disney magic in a couple of weeks, and I’m sure your son will love having his girlfriend join your family at the
Happiest Place on Earth!
I’m happy to report that you won’t need to worry about changing the name on your husband’s ticket prior to visiting the theme parks with the rest of the family and your son’s girlfriend. In fact, Disneyland Resort
theme park tickets aren’t actually assigned to a specific person until each ticket is scanned at the front entrance turnstiles. As each Guest in your family is scanned in, the Cast Member will take a picture to assign one ticket to each specific Guest. At that point, the ticket can’t be transferred to anyone else. If you have any
additional questions, you can also call (714) 781-4636 for more ticket help.
I see your arrival date of January 22, and am excited to let you know that you’ll be able to catch the excitement of the
Lunar New Year celebration at
Disney California Adventure Park, if you plan to spend time there. I recommend nabbing a Sip and Savor Pass so you can enjoy the
Lunar New Year Marketplaces for scrumptious culinary delights!
I sincerely hope your husband’s cancer starts improving soon, Tom. My thoughts will be with you and your family, and I’ll be sending loads of pixie dust your way for a magical and memorable visit with your loved ones to the Disneyland Resort!
