We are booked in a suite, two families. If we get the meal plan, can it be separated on keys. In other words, can one family of four have the limited number on their keys and the other family have their number on their keys?

Judith what fun to have two families stay together in a suite.

The Disney Dining Plan requires all guests in the same room be on the same meal plan. To separate the plan between the two families would require two different dining plans. You may use your Key to the World cards individually but the meal entitlements will be deducted from the same meal plan. One family may visit the Magic Kingdom and eat meals there while the other family stays at the resort to enjoy pool time and eats quick service at the hotel.  All entitlements will be deducted from the same Disney Dining plan. This should allow you plenty of  flexibility for both families to share meal credits.

Hope you all have a magical vacation!
