I am so excited for you to have your vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort booked, which is coming up real soon! Disney's Contemporary Resort is an amazing place. Not only is the resort immaculate but there are so many amenities you are going to want to spend some time exploring all that it has to offer! Before I get far into the benefits of this resort, let's talk about your reservation and your My Disney Experience account.
After you have your vacation booked, your next step should be to create or log into your
My Disney Experience account. This is planning central for your vacation and a great guide to keep in mind as the planning develops. As you move through the steps of booking your vacation, most times you will be asked to log into your account so everything Magically loads after you book. There are instances, however, where this does not work out quite like it is supposed to. So let's talk about linking your reservation if need be.
If you log into your account and your reservation is not linked, it is super easy to do so. At the top of your screen, you should see several icons that are more silhouettes at this point. Go to the one that looks like a hotel and click on it. Several buttons should come up and you want to click on the "Link Reservation". After you book your vacation, you will get an email confirming your reservation with a reservation number in it. Copy it and then paste it into your My Disney Experience account and this should now be linked. At times, it may take a minute or you may need to log out and then back in, but shortly it should be added and you can see what you have booked so far with your Disney Resort hotel and theme park tickets.
As you move closer to your date of travel, there are a few dates to keep in mind. 60 days before you arrive, you can book any dining options you would like. These are typically
table service options in or outside of the park as well as
character meals. The reservation window will typically open around 6:00 Am EST at the 60-day mark, so if you have any "must-do" dining experiences, have that date ready and marked! For all Guests staying onsite at a Disney Resort hotel, 7-days before they arrive you can purchase and book
Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass options. These can make your day in the parks so much more enjoyable with access to shorter wait times in lines and leave you with more time to enjoy the parks and less time spent waiting in lines.
