We have booked a studio villa, standard view, at the Polynesian for this July. Any advice on requesting a building? This will be our first time staying at the Polynesian, and so I don't know the layout of the resort beyond the main building. Thanks!

    Hi Laura,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with  your question. I was recently able to take a vacation with my family and we stayed in a deluxe studio at Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows. What a lovely resort! The tropical theme is lush and immersive, and the location so close to Magic Kingdom is wonderful.

The deluxe studios at Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows are located in three longhouses: Moorea, Tokelau, and Pago Pago. Moorea has both standard and lake view accommodations, while Pago Pago and Tokelau have standard accommodations, so you could end up in any of the three locations. These are all very close to one another, so for location in the resort, I find them to be fairly comparable. When I visited, I stayed in Moorea. One very nice thing about Moorea is that it has a laundry room. Moorea and Pago Pago are also extremely close to the Transportation and Ticket Center, which means that you can walk there to hop on the monorail. Pago Pago has a parking lot close to it, which is great for a quick walk from your car, but does mean that some deluxe studios overlook it. Of the three, Tokelau is the most centrally located longhouse which makes it closer to the Great Ceremonial House and other common areas of the resort; however, remember that these three longhouses are truly a minute or so walk from each other.

There is a wonderful unofficial site at tikimanpages.com that has a plethora of information about this resort. I suggest that you check it out. Also, please do remember that while Disney will do their best to honor any request, they cannot be guaranteed. But no worries - I am sure you will enjoy your stay at this resort in any case!

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Laura. Please do let us know if you have any further questions!
