    We have booked a stay at a resort hotel, June 3-June 8, with a 6 day park hopper ticket. We have decided to come down a day earlier, we are going to stay at a different resort, and I was wondering if we can start using our magic bands on June 2?”

    Hey there, Lucretia! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m happy you’ve brought us your question. We’re happy to help! 

    Lucretia, it sounds like you have a truly magical vacation planned! And I totally understand wanting to get an early start to the fun. I usually end up adding a night to our Walt Disney World Resort vacations because we’re never ready to leave the magic when the time comes. I always want to arrive early and stay as long as I can!

    I have good news for you! As long as all your reservations and MagicBands are linked up in your My Disney Experience account, those MagicBands will be ready to go as soon as you arrive. They will be your key to your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel rooms, your park tickets, FastPass+ and more! Just double check your added reservation is linked up to your account and you should be set! 

    Talking about FastPass+, have you made all your reservations yet? One of the many benefits that come with a stay on property is having early access to those coveted FP+. You can book your favorite attractions up to 60 days in advance. I would strongly suggest FastPass+ for Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s Pandora- The World of Avatar attractions. You will be among the first to experience the amazing new attractions in the Valley of Mo’ara, like Na’vi River Journey and Avatar Flight of Passage.
