Hi, I am booked to stay in Port Orleans Riverside and I'm wondering if it would be possible to fit the following into a 5th sleeper room? 3 adults, an 11 year old, 9 year old and a 1 year old? Thank you

    Hi Annmarie!

Welcome to planDisney!  As Princess Tiana would say, you're almost there - almost to your Walt Disney World Resort vacation that is! It sounds like you are planning to make some magical memories with a larger group.  Let's take a look at the resort options available to you!

Annmarie, Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is one of several properties in the Disney Resorts Collection that features 5th sleeper rooms.  These rooms provide an extra sleeping surface to accommodate larger parties.  When looking at room occupancy listed for a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you can fit that many plus a child under 3 in a crib or pack 'n play which means your group would be able to fit in the 5th sleeper room.

While you may be able to fit in the room from an occupancy standpoint, it will likely be very tight quarters.  I know your vacation is approaching fast, but you could always reach out to see if there is any availability to modify your reservation.  The family suites at Disney's Art of Animation Resort can sleep up to six adults and also feature a separate bedroom, kitchenette, and two full bathrooms. This property also has access to the Disney Skyliner so you can sail through the sky like Mary Poppins as you head to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios.  I love the theming of this resort and hope to one day stay in a Finding Nemo suite with my three boys!  Disney's All-Star Music Resort also has a selection of family suites available as well.   In addition, there are some options at Deluxe Villa properties which have multiple bedrooms to accommodate larger parties.

Regardless of where you and your party stay Annmarie, I hope you have a wonderful visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!  It looks like your trip will just be beginning as the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts is coming to an end.  I loved exploring all the culinary, visual, and performing arts on display at this event last year and would encourage you to try to work in a visit to EPCOT at the beginning of your trip to check it out!  The festival is scheduled to end on February 19th.

Please stop by and see us again at planDisney with any future vacation planning questions!

    Cheers,
    Kristi
