We have booked to stay at Port Orleans French Quarter and will have a rental car. I understand that parking at the resort is free, but do we also get free parking if we drive to the theme parks (Animal Kingdom particularly)?

    Hiya Hannah!

Welcome to planDisney! My friend, I love that I have good news for you. If you are a Guest at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel you have complimentary self-parking at your Resort and complimentary Standard Theme Park Parking at all of the Parks. If you wish to enjoy Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park you will have to show a valid room reservation and then park with no fee.

Disney's Port Orleans Resort- French Quarter is such a fun Resort. I love the size of it, the proximity to Mickey-shaped beignets, and funnily enough, a Coca-Cola Freestyle machine. (I love beverage options.) Just an FYI, Scat Cat's Club- Cafe is currently closed for refurbishment till mid-October so I don't know if you plan to visit soon but you can find the delicious beignets at Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory in the meantime.

I hope this was helpful and you have a great time!

    Happy Planning!

Hey, it's Nimmy from New York! Just like my guy Jiminy Cricket I am your wisecracking and helpful guide to making the best decisions for your Disney vacation! My husband and I work very hard to journey to our favorite place on Earth, Walt Disney World Resort, as much as we can. We have traveled as just adults, with babies, kids, teenagers, and senior citizens. We have seen so many characters, eaten at amazing places, and consumed a ton of Dole Whips. So "give a little whistle" and let me be your guide! Learn More About Nimmy
