We are booked to stay in Port Orleans French Quarter in December. I want the building close to pool and boat dock. Is there a name or number for the buildings so I can ask for something specific?

    Hi Patricia,

Thanks for your question. Port Orleans French Quarter is one of my favorite resorts. We love its theming, its small size and its central location near the theme parks and Disney Springs.

My family spent Christmas at Port Orleans French Quarter in a room that I believe is just what you are looking for: on the first floor across from the Doubloon Lagoon Pool and within sight of the dock for the water taxi to Disney Springs. We were in room 2139, which is in Building 2. Any room in the 2130s should do nicely for you. Or, if you prefer an upper floor, the 2230s or 2330s.

These rooms also are near the playground, if that is important to you, and are a short stroll from the Sassagoula Floatworks & Food Factory, Scat Cat's Lounge and Cafe (where you can get fresh hot beignets from early morning to late night), and the bus transportation station at the resort's front door.

Please know that Walt Disney World does its best to honor special requests, but there's never a guarantee that you will get the exact room that you want. I would complete online check-in as early as possible and note in your request that room selection is your top priority.

I hope this is helpful, Patricia, and that you get a room that is just right for your needs. Please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you as you make your December vacation plans. Enjoy!
