Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Melissa! And greetings from your neighbor to the south!
Disney's Pop Century Resort has recently undergone an incredible refresh, I really think you are going to enjoy your stay here. My favorite "upgrade" is the new sleeping arrangements - the rooms have gone from two double beds to a queen-sized bed and double murphy bed. This new configuration allows for a lot more space within the room when the murphy bed is up.
When it comes to views at Disney's Pop Century Resort, I highly recommend saving money and just getting a standard view. The value and moderate level resorts only offer a window at the front of your room next to the door. In addition, all the Resorts walkways to the stairs or elevators go right by guests' windows, so most choose to keep their curtains drawn, negating the need for a nice view. Additionally, because the walkways are covered, you really won't see much from your rooms window. If being near the recreational areas is not that important, save the money and use them toward Mickey Ice Cream Bars or that perfect souvenir.
I hope this is helpful, Melissa! Please let me know if you should have any additional questions. I am here to help with the smallest of details.
