I am booked to stay at the Polynesian in October with a lagoon view however I am questioning the $700 diffference for the lagoon to the garden? We are splurging but is the view the best way to spend the money?

    Hi Claudine!

The Polynesian Resort is gorgeous, and I think that just staying there is splurging, but very worth it.  Would I pay and extra $700 for the view?  No way!  Let me explain how the part of my brain that is Disney works.

Really, you sleep and bathe in the room.  How often do you look at the view?  The first 15 minutes that you arrive.  Then maybe 5 minutes a day in the morning before you leave the room.  I'm going to suggest that you use that extra $700 for meals, shopping or special tours!  You can dine at California Grill at the top of The Contemporary Resort and watch Wishes! fireworks over Magic Kingdom while you dine.  Go to Victoria & Albert's at The Grand Floridian and have the dining experience of your life!  Book dinner shows, get yourself the largest Dooney & Bourke purse and still have hundreds of dollars left over!

Okay, so obviously I think about my spending obsessively...but I want to take that purse home with me!  I want to have a 6 course meal that takes 2 1/2 hours to eat and then get a rose as I leave.

I'm such a girl.  Hope this helps!  Have a fabulous trip!

Magic Kingdom still takes my breath away, but my favorite place to be is on a Disney ship looking at the horizon and breathing in that crisp, clean ocean air!  I love planning Disney vacations for others and making sure it's more than they dreamed. Learn More About Marisol
