    I have booked a stay at one of the Disney Springs Area Official Disney hotels; will I have to purchase a magic band?

    Hi Bernadette, 

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question!

    Although several Disney Springs Area hotels and other Walt Disney World Good Neighbor hotels do offer some pretty sweet Disney perks, including the ability to participate in Extra Magic Hours, one of the perks that they don’t offer includes a complimentary MagicBand for each member of your party. If you want to use one during your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort, you’ll have to purchase one at one of the (several!) merchandise locations where they are sold. 

    Please note, however, that you don’t absolutely need to have a MagicBand in order to visit the Theme Parks and enjoy all that Walt Disney World Resort has to offer. You can just use the card that you’ll get when you pick up your Theme Park Tickets at Guest Relations or that gets sent to you in the mail (if you’ve chosen that option). I will admit that MagicBands are a way cuter and more fun way to enjoy the Magic!
