Hi, we just booked to stay at the Hyatt Regency Orange County (good neighbor hotel) for our Disneyland trip with our 4 year and 2 year old. How far are the park entrances from where the Hyatt shuttle drops off guests?

Greetings, Julie. Welcome to planDisney and thank you for sharing your question with us. I've stayed at quite a few different Good Neighbor Hotels and am delighted to help.

I love that you're planning ahead and thinking of ways to save some energy and steps until you reach the Disneyland Resort. When I've stayed at Good Neighbor Hotels that offer shuttle service, the shuttle drop-off at Disneyland will be just outside the security check located near the Esplanade and main entrance to the Disneyland Resort. I called your hotel and they confirmed that this is the case for their shuttle as well. If you're curious, you can have a peek and find this location in the Disneyland app. Once you have the app open, tap on the location icon at the bottom (to the right of the home icon) and locate the entrance of Disneyland Park. If you scroll over to the right, you'll see some roadways with buses. This is where the shuttle drop-off will be - very close and convenient.

You have some time before your upcoming visit, which means more time to plan. You might even be visiting the parks during Halloween Time. Nothing has been announced yet (as far as when Halloween Time will officially begin), however, I recommend keeping an eye on Disney Parks Blog as this is where this information will be shared. You'll also find all the details on seasonal food offerings and other special and spooktacular things happening during this time of year. It's one of my favorite holidays to celebrate at the resort. There's nothing quite like being greeted by the giant Mickey pumpkin as you walk into Disneyland on Main Street, U.S.A.

I hope this information is helpful to you, Julie. As you continue to plan your magical visit, please come back and ask us any other questions - even ask me directly. Until then, I wish you happy planning.

    Have a magical day!
