I booked a stay at HoJo’s Anaheim, directly with them. Is that why I can’t link the reservation on My Disney Experience? Will I only be able to link the park tickets?

Hiya, Patty, and thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!

I’m so excited for your upcoming visit to the Happiest Place on Earth! You’re going to make so many magical memories. It sounds like you recently booked a stay at one of Disneyland Resort’s Good Neighbor Hotels, the Howard Johnson Anaheim Hotel and Water Playground. This a wonderful option for a family-friendly hotel that offers quick access to the Disneyland Resort! This hotel can be booked through the Disneyland Resort website since it’s a Disney-approved Good Neighbor Hotel, but it sounds like you may have booked your stay directly through Howard Johnson’s website. So, if this is the case, then you won’t be able to link your hotel stay to your Disney account. However, if you booked this hotel through Disneyland.com, then you should be able to link your reservation to your Disney account online or on the Disneyland app. If this is the case and you're still having trouble linking your hotel reservation, I recommend calling Website Support at (714) 520-6222.

As for your theme-park tickets, if you purchased them directly from Disneyland Resort, then you will be able to link your tickets with the information provided in your confirmation email. In addition, you’ll be able to view your tickets on the Disneyland app after signing into your Disney account with the same email you used to purchase your tickets. Look under the “Tickets and Passes” section to find them. If your tickets were purchased from a third-party vendor, you can link them to your app using the ”Link Tickets & Passes” option under “Tickets and Passes.” You can also link them online under the ”My Disneyland” tab.

Last but not least, I recommend double-checking that you’re using the correct app, since My Disney Experience is the mobile app for Walt Disney World Resort, and the Disneyland app is the correct app for Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. It’s easy to confuse the two!

I hope this information helps, Patty! Please stop by with any additional planning questions… we’d love to make your magical dreams come true!

    Happy planning!
