We have booked a stay at a Disney resort this year Oct 8-14. I’m concerned after reading that guests must leave WDW every night at 6pm if you do not have a ticket to the Halloween party. Does this apply to people staying onsite as well?

Hello Lauren, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with a great planning question.

October at the Walt Disney World Resort is one of my favorite times of year to visit. Mickey has planned a spooktacular evening for a limited number of guests to enjoy. Guests can enjoy a select number of rides and attractions during the party with minimal to no wait time. Guests will be serenaded by the Cadaver Dans Quartet while you wait for the jaw-dropping Boo-To-You Halloween Parade. You will definitely enjoy trick-or-treating throughout the Magic Kingdom. The night concludes with the Happy Hallowishes Fireworks Show. I would highly recommend attending the party if your schedule can accommodate it.

All guests planning to attend Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party are required to purchase a special admission ticket. You can purchase your tickets online or by calling (407) 939-5277. Whenever I visit the Walt Disney World Resort during a holiday season when special ticketed events are held, I will adjust my schedule to make sure that I can spend a full day in the Magic Kingdom without being interrupted by a special event. I will usually visit other theme parks or Disney Springs during the days when parties are scheduled that I am not attending. I did some checking and discovered there will not be a party held during every night of your trip. On those evenings, the park will close at its regularly scheduled time. Keep in mind that schedules are subject to change. Be sure to check with a Cast Member for last minute updates or changes. If you plan on purchasing tickets, I would recommend ordering them as soon as possible before they all disappear.

    See ya real soon,
    Andrea
