    We have booked a stay at Disney music resort. If I ordered custom magic bands (princess etc.) and we cancel to stay off sit can I still use my magic bands? Also will I lose my dining reservations?

    Thanks so much for sending your question to us at Disney Parks Moms Panel!

    When Guests purchase customized MagicBands, they can link them to their My Disney Experience account. Think of those purchased bands as a way to access all of your resort and dining reservations, Disney PhotoPass Service photos, and FastPass+ plans that are associated with your My Disney Experience Account. Those plans can be added, modified, or removed via online access or through the My Disney Experience mobile app. The bands just enable you to access them.

    Once you have linked your MagicBands, you will be able to use them on your upcoming trip, plus future trips as well, as long as you keep them listed as Active. As such, you'll be able to access those Advanced Dining Reservations, any PhotoPass photos you have taken, and even your FastPass+ plans for future trips as well. Your MagicBands are like a mobile method for tapping into your account. 

    I like to bring a second MagicBand on most stays, just in case something happens to the first. (Of course, I also like to coordinate my MagicBands by color or theme, based on the timing of our stay. Winter trip? I bring my Elsa Band. Halloween season? Orange is the way to go.)

    In addition, your Advanced Dining Reservations are independent of your Walt Disney World Resort hotel stay. Guests may make such reservations--no matter where they are staying, or even if they are lucky enough to call the Orlando area home--180 days prior to arrival. When you check in at each restaurant, just use the name or confirmation number associated with your dining reservation. (Easy to see these, too, via that handy My Disney Experience app!) Should you decide to cancel your resort stay, confirm with the Cast Member assisting your cancellation that you are not cancelling your Advanced Dining Reservations. The reassurance will do you well!
