Booked a stay at Contemporary Theme park view prior to free dining being offered. When I called they said the free dining wasn't available at the Contemporary during my stay. Should I change to moderate and save $$$? Traveling with 3.5 yr old.

    Hi Julie!

I can't really answer that question.  Each guest will have a different opinion.  If your budget affords it then it's hard to beat the Contemporary Resort..  Its within walking distance of the Magic Kingdom.  It is also the home to Chef Mickey's, one of the most popular Character Dining Experiences at Walt Disney World.  The monorail also provides easy access to the Polynesian and Grand Floridian, so you can visit and dine at those hotels easily.  You can also take the monorail to the Transportation and Ticket Center where you can then catch a monorail to Epcot.

However, if you want to save money, then you should look at a Moderate Resort.  The best Disney Moderate Resort, in my opinion, is Port Orleans Riverside.  I especially like the Alligator Bayou section of that resort.  I love the theming and the landscaping.  It also has a lot of services and amenities, including boat service to Downtown Disney.

If you want to get an idea of how much food will cost, you can visit the independent website AllEars.Net.  The team at All Ears does a great job keeping their information up to date.  On their website, you can find the menus, including prices, for all of the restaurants at Walt Disney World.

    Good luck with your decision!
