Hey there, Nina! I'm so glad you've stopped by
planDisney to chat about your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel for your upcoming stay.
Nina,
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is actually one of my very favorite places to stay while on a Walt Disney World vacation. I have stayed there many times with my family of 3 (two adults and a teenager) and sometimes as a family of 5 when my parents have also come along. We've had 4 adults and teenager in the room before and yes, it's tight, but it is totally doable. Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort does have the largest rooms of the moderate category so you have that going for you there. Here's my thinking on this, Nina, are you planning on actually being in the room all that much? If it were me, I'd absolutely keep your reservation the way it is. I actually just got back from Walt Disney World where we stayed in a value resort for the first time in a long time, typically we are moderate resort people based on our budget, and I truly did miss the moderate level amenities. Of course, we had a lot of fun and did enjoy the pool area at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort but if I had to choose I'd go moderate every time. If you are planning some downtime at the resort, not necessarily in your room but enjoying all that the resort has to offer like the pool area, then a moderate is the way to go.
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort has one of my favorite main pool areas on property. It's a zero-entry pool with 2 water slides, water cannons, a waterfall and a great spa that's tucked back behind the slide area and is never really that busy. It's perfect for some relaxation time after a long day at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks. There are also beautiful white sandy beaches with hammocks scattered about which is where you can find my husband relaxing when we stay there. There's a food court area,
Centertown Market, that offers up some really great meals but also a beautiful pool bar area,
Banana Cabana, that I love hanging out in. My teenager loves the swing chairs and tables that are set up in this area. They are very Instagramable if you know what I mean!
I hope this helps ease your mind about your resort choice, Nina. My best piece of advice is to keep in mind that the space will be tight when packing. I have actually packed a shoebox-size storage container for each person staying in the room before to keep toiletries in and things like that in the bathroom area. They stack nicely in the closet and are easy to pull out when you need them. I think organization is key here!
If you have any other questions before you go, please feel free to stop back by and
