We have booked to stay at AKL in Nov 2013 2 adults a 6yr boy and 4yr old girl. I am worried that we have picked the wrong hotel. We only have a standard room, should we go to another hotel eg wildreness lodge/ grand floridian? help am very stressed!!!

Hello Claire!

I think you made a fantastic choice! Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is amazing and your children are going to love having animals roaming right outside of their resort. I highly suggest brining them down for the evening animal viewing. A Cast Member will have nightvision goggles for your children to use so they can see the animals on the savanna at night. There are great storytellers each night by the fire pit, too.

Your children are going to love Animal Kingdom Lodge, Claire, and so will the adults! If you have the opportunity, I would plan a special date night at one of DAK's amazing restaurants (my vote would be for Jiko- the Cooking Place) while the kids have a blast at Simba's Clubhouse Children's Activity Center.
