Mom and Daughter at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort Room

    We have booked the All Star Music family suite. It will be my husband, myself, my mother in law and my 3 daughters ages 11, 7 and 4. I am concerned about having enough room and the beds being comfy. Would we be better off getting 2 rooms?

    The square footage of the suite versus two rooms is exactly the same and the price difference usually is about $25 more for the suite a night.

    What gives the All-Star suites an advantage in my mind is the living area, not to mention the small kitchenette with a microwave and mini-fridge that the two rooms rooms would not offer. Many times when you have extra family members, it's hard to have a "gathering space" on vacation and the room layout of the suites would facilitate this giving it yet another leg up.

    The only con to the suite is that it only has one true bed in the bedroom. To sleep four more, the sofa in the living area pulls out to sleep two and the chair and ottoman transform into comfortable cots, similar to rollaways, with the ottoman's stool slightly shorter in length, yet probably good for your 4- or 7-year-old.

    The variable is your mother-in-law and her sleeping comfort and privacy, as these would be my own concerns for my own mother-in-law.  She'll certainly be able to get privacy with suite's two bathrooms not to mention the bedroom also closes off for privacy, too. However, I would ask her thoughts on sleeping accommodations--and be prepared that you and your husband may need to sleep on the sofa bed depending on her answer.
