Greetings Cecilia and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I am so excited to hear that you have a reservation at
Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort! This is an amazing hotel that will put you right in the middle of Disney movie magic 24/7! The larger-than-life characters are incredible and the grounds are absolutely lovely! Make some time in your schedule to enjoy their excellent pool!
All Guest rooms in the Toy Story buildings are considered preferred rooms as they are closer to the lobby, food court, and transportation. Since you have made a reservation for a standard room, I highly recommend checking the price difference and upgrading if staying in the Toy Story section is important to you, and if it fits your budget. Sometimes Guests may be granted a magical upgrade upon check-in, and you can even call and have this request noted on your reservation, but please be aware that this is not guaranteed if your reservation is for a standard room.
However, you are welcome to tour the resort grounds, and visit and play at the Toy Story area. Some rooms at the Toy Story buildings have recently been refurbished, and although they are not themed after the movie, but they are beautiful and so functional! I stayed at a refurbished room at Disney’s Pop Century Resort and they are very similar so again, if you have the chance to upgrade and try to stay at a renovated room, I highly recommend doing so.
I hope this helps you while planning, and don't forget to play big at the all new
Toy Story Land! Please stop by real soon if you have more questions!
Best magical wishes,
Thiana
