I have booked a standard room for 2 adults and 2 children ages 10,13 but only now I realised that it is possible to have a connecting rooms so our children will have their own, I contacted the travel agent and said it's not possible. Any advise? thanks

    Hi Emily,

Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I hope you're getting excited for your Walt Disney World vacation. There is so much incredible fun planned for this summer and there is certainly lots of magic awaiting you.

While I don't have the details on which travel agency you're working with or the details on why they provided the response they did, I can try to offer a few suggestions. My first suggestion is to consider a suite- or villa-style accommodation in a 1-bedroom or 2-bedroom layout. For example, a 1-bedroom layout could offer a bed in the master bedroom, and a sleeper sofa and sleeper chair in the living room. A 2-bedroom layout could offer a bed in the master bedroom and second bedroom as well as sleepers in the living room. There are several Walt Disney World Resorts offering suites and villas for accommodations. You could also consider a family Suite at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. My best suggestion is to contact Disney Resort Hotel Reservations at (407) 939-1936 and talk through the options that are a good fit for your family, as well as talking through what's possible for connecting rooms that share a door. You can check the Phone Contact page for international numbers.

Emily, here's wishing you and your family a most magical Walt Disney World vacation.

    Enjoy your Disney!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
