We just booked our spring break vacation for 7 nights at coranodo springs and were so excited , but now i have been reading reviews that are not so great ? My husband and I will be traveling with our 2 and 10 year old daughters. can anyone help?

    Tammy:

Don't change your plans just yet!

I've stayed at Coronado Springs twice and loved it!  Some of the rooms have been recently renovated, and my only guess as to why someone wouldn't like it might be the fact that the campus is spread out. (It can be a 10-minute stroll from the far end of the resort to the main building.)  However, all of the Moderate, and for that matter, Value resorts have expansive properties!  Four buses service the property, so the farthest walk from a bus stop is only about a five-minutes.

The reason for its largess is the lake in the middle of the resort--what a view!  A large "boneyard" playground and family pool, complete with a Mayan-themed slide, are perfect for the ages of your children, and you'll love finding a hammock along the sand-covered shores of the water.

My #1 reason to stay at Coronado Springs, though, is the Pepper Market.  Its fresh choices--and boy, do I mean choices--are notches above any other food court at a Value or Moderate hotel.  You'll find a station that makes fajitas right in front of you!

Your choice is muy bueno in my book!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
