Hi Natalie,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you for bringing this question to us!
First things first, be sure that you have downloaded the
My Disney Experience Mobile App. It has a nice "Get Directions" feature that will allow you to see directions, transit options and estimated transit times between locations. While we prefer to use the
Complimentary Resort Transportation, there are times when we need to get to a dining reservation a little faster. We have used taxi and Uber services. I also suggest that, right before you arrive, take a look at the new
Minnie Van™ Service. Although Disney's Coronado Springs Resort is not a participating resort at this time, it may be by the time of your trip.
When we have dining reservations at restaurants located at Walt Disney World Resort hotels, we have generally gone from a theme park directly to that dining reservation. In some cases, we have taken the resort monorail to restaurants located inside of resort hotels with access to the resort monorail. So, for example, if you are at Magic Kingdom and have a dining reservation at Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort hotel, you can either walk to Disney's Contemporary Resort hotel or catch the resort monorail from Magic Kingdom.
Natalie, when using the resort transportation, be sure to check the start and end times for each. Typically, resort bus transportation starts about 45 minutes prior to park opening. In our experience, however, we have been able to catch the monorail from Disney's Polynesian Village and Disney's Contemporary resorts by 7:30 a.m.
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs.
